"Engaging Churches - West Africa"
"The Susu village had hired a witchdoctor to bring rain as they began planting. For a month, the witchdoctor tried many spells to bring rain without results. The night our team from First Baptist Church, Humboldt, Tenn., arrived, the rains began and the story the next morning was that these visitors' God is the most powerful and brought the rain. This story went from hut to hut and village to village, raising the credibility of the Bible stories our team was sharing. Our team worshipped with new believers in the first building dedicated for worship of the true God in all this chiefdom. We met with the sectional chief (not a believer yet). He proclaimed, 'You have brought light to our village, and I believe the light will spread throughout the chiefdom.' Join us in praying that the light of Jesus will shine to every Susu wherever they may live."
