"Samogho (Duun Tribe) of Mali (SAH-moh-goh/doon)"

As February was the wedding month and everyone was gone, Samogho Team member Lori and J, her co-laborer, did not return to village S until March to visit with the men and the chief who had been so excited to hear God’s Word. Believing that God is at work there, Lori wants to keep you updated on that village. She knows that through your continued prayers for these men and the chief, God will hear and do amazing things. While traveling there, their hearts were ready to share with the men and reconnect with them after not seeing them for awhile. As they entered the chief’s hut, it was announced that a village elder had died early that morning and there would be no story that day. Their hearts grieved with this village, as they sat with them and just allowed their relationship with them to grow. Now they are traveling out to S once a week. In early April, they shared the Easter story with the chief. He was so excited about understanding more and more about “the Jesus Road” every visit. He said that he would tell the Easter story to the men who were not present. Pray that they will be protected, open and willing to follow “the Jesus Road.” Pray for J and Lori, as they are looking for where God is at work and have the desire to join Him there. Pray that they will see Him and be obedient in all that He wants to do through them.
