"Job Stories—Evil, Pain, and Suffering"

The story of Job’s life addresses perennial questions about the relationship of righteousness and suffering. Why do bad things happen to righteous people? How should people of faith view God when calamity and pain dominate their lives? What role does Satan have in the disasters that befall God’s people?

Job Stories contains the main story from the earlier part of the book and summarized accounts of the long speeches that make up most of the book. It illustrates one way to take material that is not a story and present it in a form that oral people can more easily grasp.
